Event Day Info

Below is some "at a glance" information to help your event day run smoothly. Full event day information can be viewed in our Event Day Information Booklet here.

Please note: All Stadium Stomp Adelaide Oval participants are required to sign a printed copy of the Terms & Conditions and bring it with them before collecting their participant bib. 

Transferring registrations to someone else before event day:

If you can no longer attend and have a willing replacement, your replacement can download participant transfer form here and hand it in on the day (this will speed things up at the registration desk).  Alternatively, they can advise us on the day of who they are replacing and fill in the form at the event. There is no cost to do this.

The Start/ Arriving

Gates will open at 7am, Sunday 9 July. Wave times begin from 8am event day. New waves will commence every 15 minutes thereafter until 11:00am. Please arrive 30-45 minutes prior to your wave time to allow time for race bib collection, baggage check in etc. However, you do not need to be at the marshalling area until 15 minutes prior to your wave starting.

Where do I go on arrival?

Please head to the South Gate on War Memorial Drive, North Adelaide.

Wave time assembly/ Marshalling area

Please enter the marshalling area no earlier than 15 minutes before your wave time commences. Your bib number will indicate to us which wave time you should be in and our MC will be on loud speaker to call up each wave time to the marshalling area as required. Listen out for these.

Warm-up

Warming up will form part of your marshalling experience. There will be trainers to run you through a quick warm up routine before you stomp.

Bib and pre-paid merchandise collection

Pre-event bib and pre-paid merchandise will be available from the venue at the below dates and times:

  • Thursday 6 July 3:00 - 6:00pmLocation: Ticket window at South Gate entrance.
  • Saturday 8 July 10:00am- 2:00pmLocation: Ticket window at South Gate entrance.
  • Event Day from 7am inside the South Gate entrance. Head to the registration desk.

Collecting a bib for a friend?

Collecting for a friend is only possible with a copy of their registration or written permission (text message OK so long as we can verify the message origin) along with a copy of their signed waiver. Photo ID may be required to collect your kits if you don't have a copy of your registration confirmation email with you. You may also collect on event day from the registration area but be sure to allow extra time for this.

If you ordered an Official Stadium Stomp merchandise, this will also be available for collection by the above means. Merchandise is not being posted.

Bag Compound

There will be a bag compound available within the concourse. Look out for signage on the day and be sure to collect your race bib first as you'll need the tag from your bib to place on your bag.

Transport and car parking

We strongly encourage you to use public transport on the day, as this is the best way to get to Adelaide Oval. Your closest train station is Adelaide Railway station, a short stroll across Riverbank Bridge to the Oval. There are also a number of bus routes available. Adelaide Oval Wilson Car Parking is offering a $10 book-a-bay advanced purchase ticket for parking within their East and North car parks but you must purchase in advance through their website.

As you finish

You'll get to complete a lap of the ground by walking, running, or crawling around the boundary before exiting the course and be presented with your well earned Finishers Medallion. Please stomp with care.

Post event extras

Massage

Massage will be available for participants post climb in the Massage Room (look out for the signs). A number of massage tables will be available on a first in best dressed basis.

Event Merchandise

Pending available stock, merchandise will be available for purchase at the event day expo.

Event Day Expo

Participants, family and friends are welcome to wander through the event day Expo located within South Gate..

Event Photos

Official event photographs will be taken by Super Sport Images on the course and at the finish line. These will be available for purchase post event via their website. Allow a couple of days of these to become available.

Event Day Food

Food will be available from the café at South Gate

Accommodation

No affiliated hotels have been registered for this event.

Spectators

Spectators will be allowed FREE entry to the stadium (subject to the stadium's entry conditions which you can view here (http://www.adelaideoval.com.au/102/conditions-of-entry.aspx?query=1) ).

About the stadium:

Adelaide Oval is a 53,500 seat stadium located in the heart of Adelaide where the North Terrace and the Riverbank precinct meet.  It's super easy to get to thanks to the new Riverbank Bridge connecting rail, tram and buses to the venue. 

Adelaide Oval has been Adelaide's premier sporting and entertainment venue for 140 years and the recent $535 million 

refurbishment has made the city come alive.  

Stadium Stomp Adelaide Oval is not just for the SA locals but a great excuse for anyone to come and experience this electric city.

REGISTRATIONS FOR VOLUNTEER POSITIONS FOR 2017 ARE OPEN

Being a Volunteer at Stadium Stomp is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the many different aspects of sports and event management all whilst working at one of Australia's most iconic sporting venues, Adelaide Oval.

As event organisers, we recognise that volunteers are a crucial part of the smooth running and success of the event and we sincerely appreciate everyone who is willing to be involved with Stadium Stomp. 

With various jobs available from marshalling, registrations, set up / pack down, runners, water stations and information desk, there is sure to be a job for you! You will be able to indicate the area that you are most interested in on the application form.

As a Stomp Volunteer you will receive the following benefits^:

The Course

This event is open to all levels of fitness. There will be rest stops along the way (just take a seat), drink stations scattered throughout the course and music to keep you going.AO course map

Full Course - The estimated number of steps for the full course is approximately 6,300 steps and will take anywhere from 40 minutes to 90 minutes to complete depending on your fitness level. The full course will comprise of 1 lap of the top level and one lap of ground level before running a full lap of the oval to finish.

Short Course - There is no short course option for Stadium Stomp Adelaide Oval

What to watch out for:

It's a concrete jungle out there! As with all our stadiums, Adelaide Oval course is full of twists and turns. Stairs will vary in height, width, gradient and the number of stairs per aisle depending on where you are climbing in the Gabba. Be careful, extra care is required with descent so please pay attention to signage, course marshals and our stomping rules. (http://www.stadiumstomp.com/Rules)

The steepest part of the climb will be in the upper decks (level 4). Level 2 will be the easiest part of the course with a milder gradient and wide, shallow steps.
